My Impact Terms & Conditions

In short: Smiling Rocks gives to charity on your behalf, from its own funds. It isn’t your donation, and it can’t be claimed by you, for tax or otherwise.

1. Who gives

  • Every contribution shown in My Impact is made by Smiling Rocks (Anand Jewel Trends Limited) from its own funds, on behalf of its customers.
  • The contribution is not a donation by you. No part of the price you pay is a donation, and you don’t pay anything extra for it.

2. How much is given

  • For each piece sold, Smiling Rocks commits an amount equal to 3% of the piece’s diamond value.
  • The contribution is made through the Smiling Rocks Foundation and its partner organisations, across Education Support, Medical Support, Animal Protection and Environmental Protection.
  • The contribution for a piece is final only after its 15-day return window closes. If an order is cancelled or returned, its contribution is taken back from your My Impact total.

3. Your charity split

  • The split you choose at checkout tells us how you would like the contribution for your order to be shared between the four causes.
  • Your split is a preference. We follow it wherever we can, but we may direct a contribution to another cause or partner if a programme is full, paused or no longer running.

4. No claims by customers

  • Because Smiling Rocks makes the contributions, customers can’t claim them as their own donation for any purpose.
  • No donation receipt, Section 80G certificate or other tax document is issued in your name, and the contributions can’t be used to claim a tax deduction or exemption.
  • You have no right to direct, withdraw, transfer or receive back any contribution, and My Impact amounts can’t be exchanged for cash, SR Credits or Smiling Rewards.

5. Milestones and certificates

  • Impact milestones, medals and any impact certificate are a thank-you from Smiling Rocks for shopping with us. They show the contributions Smiling Rocks has made on your behalf, have no money value and aren’t proof of a donation by you.
  • Impact figures shown in My Impact are estimates based on our partners’ programme costs and may change.

6. Use of your name and your privacy

  • To celebrate what our community makes possible, we may show your first name, the first letter of your surname and your city (for example, “Priya S., Pune”), with your impact level or total, in:
    • impact leaderboards on our website and app;
    • our Impact Book and impact reports;
    • Smiling Rocks Foundation events; and
    • social media posts, videos and other content about our impact.
  • We never show your full surname, mobile number, email address, home address, order details or the jewellery you bought in these places.
  • We use your full name, photo, video or words only with your separate consent, which we will ask for each time.
  • We don’t share your contact details with our charity partners.
  • If you’d rather not be named, message us on WhatsApp at +91 86907 06123 or email care@smilingrocks.com. We’ll stop using your name in new leaderboards and content from then on. Material already printed or published may not be possible to withdraw.

7. Changes

  • We may change the contribution rate, the causes or our partners with notice on this page. Contributions already made aren’t affected.
